One of the monavie people is trying to figure out how the gram for gram basis can not turn in to an outrageously high ORAC score,
""""Can someone correct me if I'm wrong.
JUS claims to have a ORAC score of 8600+ per oz.
http://jus.net/jus/?p=27#more-
Monavie has an ORAC score of 1027 per gram.
http://www.
[found on bottom of second page]
according to google:
1 ounce = 28.3495231 grams
JUS = 8600+ per oz.
MONAVIE = 1gram = 1027 // 28.35 (1oz) x 1027 = 29,115.45 per oz
Please if I'm wrong, can someone show me the proper comparison between the two.""""
Here is the simple response. 1. No one has any idea how much Acai is actually in the Monavie blend, so you can not just say that x grams = x ORAC. 2. The amount of grams in an ounce of Monavie does not equal the amount of grams times the 1027 ORAC per gram. That is like saying that there is x number of people per block in NY, so therefore there is that many per block in all of America.
Here is something else to throw out to them: OptiAcai is a formula that Monavie outsources and buys from a group, they say that this is the reason that Monavie is so strong in Orac. However, OptiAcai is in many products. http://vitanetonline.com/
